OUR COTTAGES

Welcome to our oasis in Quebec's real cottage country!

We have three adjacent lakeside cottages for weekend or weekly rentals in the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal. Our lakeside cottages are very quiet and secluded, surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest. The cottages are independent of one another, each with their own easy water access, dock and sandy beach.

Each of our cottages has an expansive front deck overlooking the lake. These are fully furnished and perfect for mealtime entertaining using the included BBQs.

Two of the cottages are four-season, with beautiful seasonal screen porches which allow for outdoor enjoyment earlier and later each season. All three cottages have a western exposure so you can enjoy the gorgeous sunsets!

There is an outdoor fire pit at all of the cottages, with plenty of seating for your nighttime entertaining — perfect for hotdog roasting, s'mores and story-telling. On clear nights, untainted by light pollution, the sky is illuminated by a vast array of brilliant stars. As you look up from your cozy camp fire, you will be awestruck by nature’s wonders!

ACTIVITIES

Cottage Activities

All three cottages share a central raft with a waterslide and diving board which is excellent for entertaining children, both big and small, for hours!

Here's the official list of "active"-ities available at our cottages. But don't forget... things like catching frogs, napping, and daydreaming are also activities, so relax, use your imagination, and have fun!

  • Floating raft with waterslide and diving board (shared by all cottages)
  • 3 cedar strip canoes, locally made, with two paddles and life jackets
  • 1 double kayak and three single kayaks with paddles and life jackets
  • 2 paddleboards with paddles
  • Basketball net (Cottage 55 only)
  • Hiking / Cross-country skiing / Snowshoe trails
  • Bicycle trails nearby
  • Fishing (bring your own rods and tackle)

Our Area

Our lake, Lake MacDonald, is free of commercial developments so the water quality is exceptional. The lake is perfect for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and fishing.

There are approximately 50 kilometers (30 miles) of well-maintained trails in the woodlands surrounding our cottages which can be used year round either for hiking, cross country skiing, or snowshoeing.

Lost River, the main river which flows into Lake MacDonald, has many rapids and is full of fish and wildlife. Lost River is very enticing for nature lovers because it is perfect for day trips to go canoeing, kayaking, and even snorkelling.

Directly across from the cottages are wetlands that are home to a wide variety of bird species. This wetland has extensive beaver dams, making it great for canoeing and exploring.
